The very first soccer game of the season- Andrew was climbing into a camp chair, the chair fell over, and he cried the rest of the game. I knew he'd hurt his arm because he screamed when he had to use it or anyone touched it, but there was no swelling or bruising which I knew we were supposed to watch for. A few days later at the 18month check up- the dr took an x-ray, and sure enough there was a fracture on both bones of his right arm. So, for 3 weeks he wore a splint that he didn't like too much, but we covered it with long sleeve shirts, and endured.

Grateful...
I've been thinking a lot lately about gratitude and how I (unfortunately) have a tendency to focus on what I don't have rather than what I do have. A couple of days ago I had a reality check when I learned that one of my close friends who was pregnant with twins delivered early. One of the boys was stillborn and the other is fighting for his life in the ICU right now. It was a sober reminder that life can change in an instant and that I need to remember what is truly important in life and that I have so many things to be thankful for.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know how much I love you and that I'm grateful to have you in my life. I'm grateful to know we'll always be together, no matter what happens in this life, because we've been bound together for eternity in the temple. (Yep, you can't get away from me that easily!) Thanks for the time you spend with me, the emails and the phone calls, the listening ears and the laughs!
Happy Thanksgving!

Jessie's Baptism
Hey you guys- how is everyone? I just thought you'd like to know that Jessie's baptism is going to be November 1 at 10am. She is really excited about it. We have talked about it during FHE, and she is happy. Her and Tyler have enjoyed "practicing" being baptized. We are so excited to have Grandma coming out to be here for this.

Back in the saddle again...yeehaw!
Linda, thanks for all you do to try and keep the Oxborrow family in touch. I know we're a tough project. :)
The population here at the Marseilles homestead is going up again. Leah and Ayden moved back in last week. I'll let Leah give you all their news. We'll have to post some pictures of Ayden too---he is growing so fast and learning so many things. It's fun to watch him.
As for me, I'm working...and working...oh, and working! I'm glad that I enjoy it because it's pretty much the focus of my existence right now. :) I got a raise in July which was nice and am working 32 hours a week now, which is pretty miraculous when I look back over the last years.
What else? I got to go down and see Jon and Anna and Isaac last week for General Conference. Conference had a lot of great messages and as always, it was fun to hang out with the Oxborrows in Washington. We had lots of fun chatting and playing with Isaac, who is growing up so fast. I love that kid's grin! I think they're coming up soon and we'll also have Annie and Andy and Kellen here so we can all hang out. I'll try to get some pictures so all you Oxborrows outside of Illinois can see how the babies have grown...
Love you all and hope things are going well for you!

Anybody out there?
I know that things are busy for everyone, but I just wanted to say I'm going to work at posting regularly and I'd love to hear what everyone else is doing if you have a moment to post. I love to see the baby pics too. Keep 'em coming. :)
What's new with me? I've been called as the assistant nursery leader. It takes energy, but the kids are adorable! Hmmm...what else...Oh, I'm going to be teaching a beginning blogging class at the library some time in February or March. They figured since I started blogs for the s and teenagers at the library I must know what I'm doing. Scary. It's not the teaching that scares me, just the fact that what I'm teaching is computer-related. I still don't consider myself very computer literate. Oh well, nothing like trial by fire! My job continues to be a blessing. I am still loving it and seem to be learning more and more all the time (and being put in charge of more and more projects). It keeps it interesting. I guess that's about it? What's up with everyone else?
