Pins and needles

Hey all...Do you love the title of this post? That's basically what my life is centered on right now. I'm in the middle of "detox" at Sierra Integrative. I'm there 5 days a week and I get an IV every day and shots 3 times a week. I'm also doing some other therapies that are helping to get all the junk out of my body and some good stuff in. I'm still waiting on results for some of the tests they did when I got there---specifically my allergy and hormone tests. After my initial consultation with the doctor he said I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, possible CFIDS (Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome). He also said my adrenals are shot, my liver is overworked, my immune system is worn out and that my hormones are probably completely screwed up. He's pretty sure I don't have an autoimmune disease though...I knew there was some good news! :) I'm anxious to get all the test results back so we can know exactly what is going on and really get to work on those specific things. It's nice to know all this stuff hasn't been in my head.
All the people at the clinic are really wonderful. The doctor is brilliant---and a total crack-up. It's hysterical to see this little Chinese man walking around in a white coat and cowboy boots.
Mom has been driving up with me each day. (It's about an hour and 10 minute drive.) We play cards and read to pass the time. I am really grateful to her for going up with me and making it possible for me to do this.
Just wanted to thank all of you for your prayers and support during all my ups and downs these last few years. I'm so grateful for each of you. Love, Melissa
P.S. Hopefully some day soon I'll have something to talk about other than health problems. :)

This is Jessie on the first day of school with her teacher Mrs. Vasi. Then her on the second day- she rides the bus both ways. She is enjoying it so far, maybe not loving it, but she is going without too much trouble. The picture of Tyler is his outfit today when we went to get Jessie at the bus stop. Marc thanks for the sox, the kids enjoy them. They want your phone number to call and say thanks (can you see them above Ty's boots?)Hope you are all well. How did Leahs appointment go?

In Washington, IL

Those are really cute pictures. Jessie and Tyler are both growing up so fast. Things are alright here in Washington IL. We just about bought a house but pulled out at the last minute when it appraised low. Anna went back to school this week. Work has been really busy, but things are pretty good overall. It is exciting to see and hear from everyone.

more fun pics

Hello Family,
How are you all? We are fine. Jessie had her first back to school night last week, and on Tuesday we go to meet with her teacher. She is excited, but I sense a little nervous as well. This is a picture of what Jessie found in the street in front of our house. Fun huh? We took it to offer it to the teachers, but... needless to say not too many takers. Tyler is as busy as ever. He likes to tell everyone that he is strong like superman. They are fun, but... take lots of energy too. Hope you all are well- we wouldn't know since we never hear from you- but we'll assume the best. ÜÜ
Love, Linda
p.s. this is a tarantula- in case you couldn't tell.
this next picture is Jessie and her new bike for learning to sleep in her bed.

I'm home...

Hey everybody! Just wanted to let you know that I got home safe and sound. Aunt Valerie drove out with me which was a real blessing as the trip went much faster with company. She left the very next day but had some time to visit with mom. I think they enjoyed their time together. I got to see Jeremy, Linda, Jessie and Tyler before I left and we had a great time---especially playing in the rain. :) Today is Saturday and mom is throwing a bridal shower for Lisa Bleazard. None of us know her but her family has been in the ward for awhile now. Anyway, we are busy getting ready for that. It will be fun to see the sisters from the ward. I am excited to be home, back with mom and Leah, the green and the corn. Hope everyone is well and happy!

Crazy Kids

Hey Everyone,
Sorry no picture tonight. I was just writing to David about the kids and thought I would share some on here too. Jessie is growing up so fast. She recently got her "Big" bike because she has learned to sleep consistently in her own bed. It is a big bike, but she loves it. She did really well and let me be away from her for 2 nights for different activities (all night). I mistakenly told her about a little that was kidnapped the other day and so now her prayers have been completely focused on the and the bad guy- praying for his heart to change and for her to be alright. It is so sweet, but she really focuses on that stuff and worries. Tonight she was saying the word "freakin" - it is scary how much they pick up on, and she was real confused as to why she can't have caffeine because it isn't good for her, but Jeremy and I can. HMMMM??? Yesterday I babysat a boy and a couple of Jessie's friends have crushes on him. I think Jessie wanted to say that she did too, but Jeremy was trying to end the "Crush" talk real fast.
Tyler is great!! Busy Busy. He really is the opposite of the "Silent" type that Jeremy was hoping for. He might have the strong part down, he is husky anyway. He went in to the dentist today for a little visit- she just brushed his teeth. He wasn't nervous, just chatted with her. His favorite thing lately is to ask people how old they are and then say "my mom is firty (30)". It is great- I love it! It rained again today and he layed down in the gutter- and he also had a little friend over for a bit and they went in the backyard for a few minutes and both stripped completely . AHHH- I am still thinking of potty training, but haven't really pushed yet. Hopefully soon. Me and Jeremy are the same as always. We love you all!! Linda

I am at my friends and she has the high speed internet- hopefully you will actually be able to get a pic this time. I am anxious for this to work- pass the word along. Thanks!!!

Hanna Parade

Hi Fam, I have other cute pics to load- but it takes forever when you don't have high speed. This is the kids and their cousin Shaylynn at the parade my family goes to each 4th of July. It is real small town- but it is a good time. They throw lots of candy. We hope you all had a great 4th. Melissa left yesterday after visiting for a few days. Thanks so much for coming- we love you. And miss you. I am leaving today for s camp- just over night. Hopefully all goes well. We love you all, and we'll be in touch again soon. Love, Linda

Hello Fam,
I have heard from 2 of the 6. Where are the rest of you? I might have Andy's address wrong, and Jon I am not sure what Anna's address is, but we need to get her on here too. I am just learning how all of this works, so... bear with me. We are up in Salt Lake now. My friend Anna (bridesmaid at our wedding) is getting married on Fri. and then my fam is going up to the cabin for the weekend. The kids love to be with their cousins. I will try to get more pics on next week, because I know... the kids are who you all want to see, not necessarily hearing from me. Mom- Happy Happy Birthday Mommy Dear- Happy Days will come to you all Year!!!!
Tyler got a spiderman costume from a friend who outgrew it, and he is in heaven. And so is Jeremy- Tyler enjoys dressing up, and mostly we have princess dresses. What do you do?
Melissa, WE are very sad to hear that you are moving back- but we also understand, and pray for you in this journey we all enjoy called LIFE. What fun huh??? We love you all, Happy 4th of July! Love Linda

Great idea!

I think this is a great idea. A good way to keep tabs on everyone. My latest news is that I am moving back to Illinois. I will be leaving July 18---the day after my final doctor's appointment (for my foot). It's been a hard decision to make but I feel good about it. Peaceful and even excited. The time here in Utah has been good for me. Hard in ways, but I feel like I've learned some things and life is about learning, right? I know the distance has helped me in dealing with my feelings for Patrick. I really needed to get away! Now I'm just trying to set some goals and make some decisions about what to do at home. :) Wish me luck! Love you all, Melissa

My new goal!

Hey Family,

My friend had created a blog and since I am failing at my New Years Resolution to keep in touch with each of you on a monthly basis- then... we'll try this. I will try to update this regularly and then if any of you want to comment or add your own crazy adventures then it'll be more fun!! Let's hope this works. The pics are of us camping in Snow Canyon in April and then when Grandad bought Tyler the "traditional boots."

We love you all, and would love to hear from you!
